Sussex Homemove

Sussex Homemove is a group of councils and housing providers who work together to provide access to the housing register and lettings of social housing in Hastings, Rother and Wealden areas.

Each Council manages the housing register and access to homes in their own local authority area, and has different eligibility requirements for who can and can’t join the housing register in their areas. For more information contact your local authority on the Contact page.

We aim to meet your housing needs by offering you a realistic assessment of your circumstances and offering you appropriate advice about your housing options. We recognise that there is a strong link between good housing and good health, education and employment prospects and we aim to help you as much as we can.

We will try to help you in a number of different ways:

• By making homes available to you that are appropriate to your needs, your priority for housing and your resources
• If you have a home and get into difficulties, by providing you with support to maintain your mortgage or tenancy
• By providing you with help to maximise your income so that your housing is affordable
• By providing you with advice about benefits, training and employment
• By providing you with support to tackle problems such as debt, a disability or mental health.

We will work with local community, voluntary and statutory groups to offer this help and support.
