How Sussex Homemove works

Sussex Homemove is a group of councils and housing providers who work together to provide access to the housing register and lettings of social housing in Hastings, Rother and Wealden areas.

If you are interested in accommodation, you must register so we can check:

• you are eligible for housing in the UK
• you qualify for accommodation in the area you are applying to.

Homes available to rent are advertised on this website. This includes:

• social rent
• affordable rent
• private rented accommodation.

You can see what properties are available and ‘bid’ to tell us which ones you like.

The Council or housing provider will decide who to offer the property to, based upon the Housing Allocation Policy for the local authority.  Allocations Policies are different in Hastings, Rother and Wealden. They will contact the successful applicant:

• check they still qualify
• discuss the offer of accommodation.
