Bidding on properties
Properties are advertised on Sussex Homemove once per fortnight. That means that you will see properties open for bidding every fortnight.
To help you find the property you want, you can set up an email notification to alert you when a property that is suitable for you is advertised on the website.
Properties will be advertised for a minimum of five days and bids must be placed by 11.59pm on the day that bidding closes.
You can place up to three bids at any one time.
Setting up an Email Alert
Follow these quick and easy steps and you need never miss the property you're looking for:
- Login to the Sussex Homemove website
- Click on the 'Your Property Alerts' button
- Set up your property alerts, choosing an area in which you want to live, the type(s) of property and the number of bedrooms and whether the property is adapted
- Choose between daily or weekly alerts
- Click 'save' and keep an eye on your email - you'll receive a notification when a matching property is advertised.
You can update your alerts at any time by logging back in to Sussex Homemove and changing the details of your search. To cancel the alerts, change the frequency of your alerts to 'No alerts' and click 'save'.
Please note: While you can set up your email alerts to search for any type of property you want, there are limits as to what properties you can bid for. See 'What can you bid for' on your account.
How to Bid
The quickest and easiest way to bid is to sign in to your Sussex Homemove account and then go to 'View Homes'. Click on the advert to see details of the properties. If it's a property that you're interested in, click the 'Place Bid' button to register your interest.
Once you are logged in, you can also click on 'Your Account' to see your current bids as well as feedback on previous bids.
